The Curse of The Green Man

Sydney is haunted by an intangible emerald figure. I predict a good 14% of our day is lost waiting for the elusive green man to appear so that we can cross the streets in Sydney. Once he does you have about 7 seconds to dash across the wide streets with cars still coming at you. The push-button timing and road-dart are skills we are yet to perfect. A skill we have perfected however is skipping jet-lag, which I consider quite an achievement after two days of travel! Breaking news is that travel towels suck, we found a house and eating bananas means you're rich....But mainly the house finding! We are officially Sydney-siders as of Sunday with a great place that has a roof terrace for BBQ's. Now to find jobs so we can afford the sausages.

'Welcome to Melbourne'

Customs Control Man spotted us a mile off. Fortunately the 10ft 'Welcome To Sydney' sign helped us out...

Two days, Four interesting airplane meals, Six films, Five hours in Taiwan learning about puppets and orchids, and One incredible aerial view of Sydney as we flew in. This city is BEAUTIFUL - beyond what I had imagined. Perhaps my opinion will change after working in the heat and missing home, but right now it is friendly, clean, friendly, safe, stunning and did I mention friendly!? Steve The Canadian puts it perfectly: "You can walk from skyscraper, to jungle to beach.''
